Oct 17 – Oct 18 all-day

JoCo3Gun First Annual

3-Gun Charity Shoot

October 17th & 18th 2015

The JoCo3Gun club announces the First Annual 3-Gun Charity Shoot. The Charity that we have chosen for this first inaugural match is the Oregon Fallen Badge Foundation. This will be a two-day event (First Day Oct. 17th is the civilian shoot and open to all comers and Second Day Oct. 18th is Law Enforcement only match). Event will be held at Josephine County Sportsman Association. We expect a good turnout from both civilians and law enforcement personnel from through out Oregon as well as entrants from out neighboring states.

The 3-Gun shoot that will consist of 4 to 6 challenging stages where the competitor will be required to shoot a combination of Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun on each of the stages. The stages will be an interesting variety of scenarios and may consist of engaging targets from a platform, shooting from inside a car, from up close, to 200, 300 and maybe even 600 yards. There will be opportunities to use “stage” guns during your day of shooting, meaning that you may not be shooting your own gun but will instead feature interesting guns provided that each person would use for a special- purpose segment of the course; for example, a scoped rifle for long distance targets.

There will also be a chance to shoot some side matches; mini optional competitions for fun where you may be able to either use your gun or one provided for something new and different; a great way to earn some bragging rights with your buddies.

The civilian shoot on Day 1 will be governed by the latest 3-Gun Nation rules, procedures and scoring in the recognized divisions such as Factory, Practical, Heavy Sport and Unlimited. All established competition safety protocols along with other Range-specific safety needs will be used. For more information see: http://3gunnation.com/regionals/rules_awards

The Law Enforcement shoot on Day 2 will also be governed by 3–Gun Nation rules with the exception that there will only be two categories. Law Enforcement personnel will be entered in either Category 1, which is Duty Gear only, or Category 2, which will be everything else.

There will be prize tables one for each day of the shoot. Raffle tickets available soon:

1-Patrick Kelley Stoeger Shotgun, customized by MOA Precision
